Holidays are nice to look forward to – whether it is simply time away from work, exploring somewhere new, a different scenery, good food or weather, it is an opportunity to feel rejuvenated. With the cost-of-living crisis leading to less disposable income, holidays may become less affordable. I noticed during my recent travels that I had to budget for additional costs, such as hotel transfers and hotel activities which historically were part of an all-inclusive package.
I will be exploring more ways to rejuvenate which are less expensive. Perhaps local activities or national experiences such as staycations, starting a new hobby or learning new skills that have a longer lasting effect and the same outcome on wellbeing.
It is important to allocate time to things that make you feel rejuvenated especially now that there are so many things competing for our time. Allowing the body and mind to recharge is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and managing day to day activities.
